Pepper Money has extended its free legal service to cover the cost of legal work required on remortgage applications and debt consolidation.
The specialist lender says its free legal service now includes debt consolidation, irrespective of the number of debts to be repaid.
This will give remortgage customers the choice of either free legals, or £350 cashback, for all residential and debt management plan products.
It adds that the move will come with a new broker and consumer guide to “ensure consistent and cohesive communications, so everybody knows what to expect and are kept informed throughout the process”.
The process is managed by Optimus panel management services, which provides introducers with access to a panel of pre-approved and regulated partners.
Pepper Money sales director Paul Adams says: “We have responded to feedback from customers and brokers to develop the proposition with the inclusion of remortgages for debt consolidation and a new system of monitoring our third-party partners to ensure the consistent delivery of an excellent service.
“For customers who have a less than perfect credit history, this means that we don’t just offer certainty of decision, but we also provide certainty for completing the process.”
