Sainsbury’s Bank partners with Sesame for mortgage distribution

Sesame and Sainsbury’s Bank have partnered to allow the lender’s product to be made available through the network’s members.

The supermarket bank first launched back into the mortgage market in April, through Legal and General Mortgage Club and London and Country. It has since partnered with Intrinsic, Openwork, Mortgage Advice Bureau, Stonebridge Group, Alexander Hall, Springtide, First Mortgage Direct and SPF.

The bank says the partnership with the Sesame network, part of Sesame Bankhall Group, will help it to reach a wider number of homeowners, potential homeowners and landlords.

Sainsbury’s Bank head of banking David Buxton says: “We place a real importance in the broker channel with brokers sitting at the heart of everything we do. We’re delighted to welcome Sesame who bring with them such heritage and experience.”

SBG director, mortgages Jane Benjamin says: “Sainsbury’s Bank has built a solid reputation amongst mortgage intermediaries based on its customer-focused approach and competitive range of mortgage products. We are very pleased to be working in partnership with Sainsbury’s Bank and I am sure that this latest addition to our comprehensive lender panel will be welcomed by Sesame members.”
